Marc was a partner at TigerRisk Partners where he ran the EMEA region and the Global Life business since February 2018. Marc was also a MD in TCMA, the investment bank of TigerRisk Partners. TigerRisk Partners was the fourth largest reinsurance broker and one of the largest independent investment banks focusing exclusively on insurance and reinsurance clients. Marc has particular expertise in non-traditional life and non-life reinsurance, as well as in insurance and reinsurance M&A.

Marc led Aon Benfield’s ReSolutions team for EMEA for four years, and before that Marc was leading Aon Benfield Analytics EMEA for seven years. Marc was also an MD at Aon Securities focusing on EMEA M&A and capital markets opportunities. Marc was very involved in Aon Benfield’s Solvency II strategy and in structuring capital optimization solutions for clients in EMEA.
While at Aon, Marc led the teams that advised VidaCaixa on their €600m VIF Monetisation with Berkshire Hathaway and Talanx and Meiji Yasuda on the $1bn acquisition of Warta, the second largest Polish insurer.

Marc was previously CFO of Dexia Life & Pensions in Luxembourg and MD at Eurco Re, an Irish life reinsurer within the Dexia Group. Before that, Marc was VP Pensions for Nationwide Financial in Luxembourg, leading their European expansion in pensions products until Nationwide Financial in the US decided to exit the European market.

Before that, Marc worked seven years for Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup), lastly as Director Insurance M&A, where he led several landmark M&A transactions across Europe. Some of the transactions Marc advised on were HDI buying Gerling, Dexia buying Artesia, Eureko expanding in Greece and Poland, the merger of Caja Madrid and Mapfre in Spain and the formation of KBC.
1990 - 1995
During his career, Marc advised several international organizations on economic capital and value based management. At the start of his career, Marc worked 5 years as an actuary for ING Belgium in life and disability insurance.
Marc has 34 years of insurance and reinsurance actuarial and capital markets experience. Marc is a Belgian life actuary by training, a Maths teacher and he has an MBA from Cornell University.
